Peppered Walleye Recipe

Peppered Walleye Recipe

The Recipe

Walleye is a mild white fish. There is no need for extra breading and over seasoning. We prefer the taste of this fish on its own. You can use any mild white fish for this recipe.

What ingredients do I need?

  • Walleye Fillets
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon Pepper Seasoning
  • Old Bay Seasoning

Directions:

  1. You can use fresh or frozen walleye for this meal. Just make sure that your fillets are completely thawed.
  2. Season your fillets with salt, pepper, lemon pepper seasoning, and Old Bay seasoning on both sides.
  3. Heat 4 tablespoons of butter in a frying pan over medium high heat.
  4. Once your butter starts to brown add the walleye fillets. Cook them for about 3 minutes on each side.

Side dishes:

Walleye pairs well with just about every side dish. We have fried potatoes or used rice. For this meal we paired our walleye with fresh picked asparagus and sweet potatoes.

Bountiful harvests and happy cooking,
